Instructions for Heating Foods in
APT's Dual-Ovenable CPET Containers
APT's Dual-Ovenable CPET Containers
CPET Containers
- APT's CPET containers can withstand temperatures from -40 to 400 degrees Fahrenheit for a period of 60 minutes. Because of different oven types and controls, actual time and temperature may vary.
- Do NOT use APT's CPET containers under a broiler, in a toaster oven, or on a barbeque grill.
- Do NOT place a CPET container directly on an oven rack or expose it to an open flame or a heating component.
- Pre-heat the oven to the desired temperature before placing the CPET container in the oven.
- Place the CPET container on an aluminum cookie sheet and position it on the center rack of the oven. (The aluminum tray helps distribute the heat evenly to the bottom of the container, which helps when removing the cooked product. Placing the container on the center rack ensures that it will only be exposed to the temperature that the oven was set to.)
- After heating, allow the container to cool for two minutes before handling.
- Always make sure that the container has product in it before performing all cooking tests or container evaluations.
- APT's CPET containers should be used only once. Do NOT re-use them as subsequent reheatings might affect the integrity of the container.
- Perforate or remove the lidding film over each food compartment of a CPET container in order to properly vent steam. Failure to do so may damage the container or affect proper heating of the food inside.
APET Lids
- Do NOT put APT's APET lids inside either a conventional oven or a microwave oven when heating.
- Never use an APET lid to cover until heated food has cooled.
Lidding Film Sealing Instructions
- A variety of lidding films can be used to cover APT's CPET containers. Be sure that the sealing area (flange of the container) is dry and clear of foreign matter.
- Never reseal APT's CPET containers.
