George A. Frederick joins APT as Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Technical Sales and Bill O'Brien as Equipment Engineering Manager.
Associated Packaging Technologies (APT), a leading worldwide producer of food trays, has filled several key management positions.
George A. Frederick is APT's new Vice President of Sales, Marketing, and Technical Sales. He is responsible for managing global marketing and sales to the frozen food, food service, case-ready meat, and bakery markets.
Frederick is experienced at business development. He served as Vice President of National Accounts for Otis Spunkmeyer, where he built business in food service and bakery. Previously, he was Vice President of National Accounts for Unilever Foodsolutions, where he achieved similar results in food service with the company's dry, liquid, and frozen food offerings, and Director of National Accounts for Lipton Foodservice, where he increased market share of brands such as Lipton Tea, Country Crock, Promise, "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter," Lawry's Seasonings, and Bertolli Pasta Sauces. Frederick holds a B.S. in Marketing from the University of Scranton.
Bill O'Brien joins APT as Equipment Engineering Manager. He is responsible for planning and managing major equipment operations at the company's various thermoforming plants throughout North America and Europe. He has over two decades of experience in overseeing large capital equipment projects in plastic thermoforming.
Most recently, O'Brien served as Senior Project Engineer for Winpack Portion Packaging. He led major capital equipment expansion projects in Chicago and Toronto. O'Brien has also done senior level project engineering for Fort James (Georgia Pacific) and the Mrs. Paul's Kitchens division of Campbell Soup. He holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Rutgers University.
